L'autismo
E’ un raccolta di immagini che raccontano un gruppo di ragazzi e bambini con la sindrome dell'autismo. Un mondo in cui i sensi, i sentimenti, le emozioni, le gioie, le paure vengono espresse in un linguaggio diverso dal nostro. Ho compreso quanto sia normale essere diversi per loro ma come sia difficile inserirsi e farsi accettare da una società distratta ed egoista che li definisce strani.
Io li ho incontrati nelle loro case, con i loro desideri e le loro esigenze, con i loro sogni e le loro solitudini, ho sentito tanto amore, tanto dolore e tanta bellezza.
Con amore e gratitudine a Maria Pia, Elia, Gaspare e Dario.

Children of the moon ... Palermo.
It is a collection of images of people living in a world where senses, feelings, emotions, joys, fears are expressed in a different language.
Their every movement, wandering gaze, reaction is a message to understand, a need to share, a caress to accept in their way of presenting themselves as they are ... I understood that they love and that they want to be loved, I understand that they scream and they want to be listen, I understood how normal it is, to be different for them but also how difficult it is for them to insert themselves and be accepted by a distracted and selfish society and how little is known about this pathology that manifests itself only with behavioral disturbances.
I met them in their homes, with their desires and needs, with their dreams and their solitudes, I found so much love, so much pain and so much beauty.
