Gibellina - Cretto di Burri - abiti dell'artista Rosemarie Trockel.
Il Venerdì Santo.
Scompongo la vecchia immagine e creo una mia visione del territorio e del panorama attraverso piccoli rituali.
La fotografia è il mio canto, il mio respiro, la mia voce e quella del vento del cielo. Qui oggi sento di voler liberare qualcosa, sotto i piedi non c'è più la terra calda che pulsa ma colate di cemento freddo, in profondità c'è seppellita la memoria e una città con la sua gente, sopraffatti dal terremoto il 15 gennaio 1968.
L'artista Alberto Burri tra il 1984-89 realizza il grande cretto di Gibellina opera di land art proprio sul luogo dove sorgeva la città distrutta.
Ho ancora nella memoria le immagini e le fotografie delle donne a nero in processione e in preghiera nel giorno del Venerdì Santo di un anno prima.
Oggi, ritorno a Gibellina con i vestiti che mi ha dato l'artista Rosemarie Trockel, la principessa Giuliana Licata di Baucina e la nipotina, voglio fotografare e ripercorrere il territorio con loro per portare altre frequenze. Oggi è un Venerdì, lo voglio ribattezzare e liberarlo da tutte le immagini di dolore che ho nella mente e nei luoghi comuni, voglio sentire l'opera dentro il mio cuore e ricreare attraverso le immagini di quattro donne.
La donna e la bambina:
il tempo circolare con tutte le sue stagioni.
Le frange: Il legame con gli antenati e l'appartenere a un luogo preciso con la consapevolezza che ognuno di noi ha un tempo segreto che si ripete all'infinito.
Il Cretto: L'arte di ricrearsi
I piedi scalzi: il contatto con la terra e l'essere arresi e centrati dentro eventi naturali.
Il nero: Il colore del non-io, dell’invisibilità, dell’assenza, dell’eterno. Dell'illuminazione.

Holy Friday.
I break down the old image and create my own vision of the territory and the landscape through small rituals.
Photography is my song, my breath, my voice and that of the sky wind. Here today I feel I want to free something, under the feet there is no more hot earth that pulsates but flows of cold concrete, deep there is buried the memory and a city with its people, overwhelmed by the earthquake on January 15, 1968 .
Between 1984-89 the artist Alberto Burri created the great cretto of Gibellina, a work of land art right on the site where the destroyed city once stood.
I still have in my mind the images and photographs of women in black in procession and in prayer on the day of Good Friday a year earlier.
Today, I return to Gibellina with the clothes that the artist Rosemarie Trockel, Princess Giuliana Licata of Baucina and my granddaughter gave me, I want to photograph and retrace the territory with them to bring other frequencies. Today is a Friday, I want to rename it and free it from all the images of pain that I have in my mind and common places, I want to feel the work inside my heart and recreate it through the images of four women.
The woman and the girl:
circular weather with all its seasons.
The fringes: The bond with the ancestors and belonging to a specific place with the awareness that each of us has a secret time that repeats itself endlessly.
Il Cretto: The art of recreating yourself
Bare feet: contact with the earth and being surrendered and centered in natural events.
Black: The color of the non-self, of invisibility, of absence, of the eternal. Lighting.
